Marie-Claude Robillard was born in Sainte-Anne-des-Monts. Having obtained a Bachelor’s degree in visual and media arts and a degree in fine arts from UQAM, she is living and working in Montreal. Robillard is interested in abstraction and now expresses herself exclusively through encaustic painting.
Since 2011, her works have been presented in solo exhibitions. The most recent, Tracés, was held in 2019 at the Éric Devlin Gallery in Montreal. She has participated in several group exhibitions including: Livres et autres mots d’artistes at the Éric Devlin Gallery, and also at the Centre d’artistes Voix Visuelle in Ottawa. Her works were also seen at the Cédez à la tentation exhibition at the Musée d’art contemporain des Laurentides and at the Montreal Contemporary Art Fair Papier.
Her works are part of private collections as well as part of the collection of the Caisse Populaire d’Hochelaga-Maisonneuve.
